Mindful Self-compassion – International

Virtual Mindful Self Compassion Course

8-week course from September 24, 2022 to November 12, 2022
10:00 am – 12:30 pm USA Central Time
with half-day retreat on Sunday, October 30th, 10:00 am – 1:00 pm USA

Let’s face it: life is a roller coaster! The only way to contently ride it is by allowing your flawed self to thrive amongst uncertainty, doubt, regret and shame. Recognising your inner critic and listening more closely to your inner voice. You can only achieve this by being kind and compassionate to yourself.

What can be achieved by practising Mindful Self Compassion?

When practising mindful self compassion, you gain the awareness of our auto-pilot mode, creating a productive conversation with the “self '', which allows befriending your imperfect being, just as it is!

Giving that awareness the space of self compassion, allows you to be kind and gentle to your being and your ongoing experience: no blame; not taking this one so seriously; not shouldering regrets or shame.

The ultimate outcome is a fierce compassion, towards oneself and others, by:

  • Gaining self-awareness
  • Breaking free from habitual patterns
  • Clarifying own values and core beliefs
  • Setting and defending personal boundaries
  • Being of true service to others
  • Clear discernment of family culture
  • Letting go of personal ties with compassion & acceptance

All of which will lead to greater compassion, increased personal confidence and inner-peace, enabling you to lead a more meaningful and fulfilling life.

How does it work and what to expect

Purpose

This course is designed to help you awaken compassion for yourself and that, in so doing, you can live a fuller, more meaningful life for yourself and others.

We are committed to stay close to our and your hearts in a simple and humble way so that each and everyone of us/you can feel seen, heard and supported along this empowering journey.

Program structure

The MSC Curriculum is designed to move participants from a conceptual understanding of mindfulness and self-compassion to a felt sense of those concepts, and to provide tools for evoking mindfulness and self-compassion in daily life and making this evocation a habit.

The sessions (8 in total) have been carefully sequenced to build upon one another. Each session includes brief didactic topics, followed by exercises that give participants a visceral sense of the subject, and then by inquiry-based exploration of the participants' direct experience.

Participants are encouraged to be experimental in choosing and adapting the practices to their own needs, and to become their own best teachers, scientists working in the laboratory of their own experience.
